Volunteer Opportunity:   Tutoring 
Description:   Winton Place Youth Center has an opportunity for volunteers to serve as tutors during our after-school program. Tutors work closely with a child (grades K through 9) on academic subjects. Tutoring packets specifically tailored to your child’s individual needs will be provided. In addition to tutoring, you may also be responsible for helping to supervise recreation time. During recreation, you may either play a board game/educational computer game with your child, or accompany your child outside and help to supervise the playground.
Qualifications & Skills:   You must have a high school diploma, G.E.D., or be currently enrolled in high school. You must like working with kids. You must be passionate about education.

  As the child assigned to you improves in one or numerous academic subjects, you will share with them a great sense of accomplishment. You will build personal relationships with the children and staff of Winton Place Youth Center, and will feel as though you have positively invested in future of your community (which you will have).
