| Description: | RESPONSIBLE TO: Operations Director & Campaign Director GOAL OF POSITION: To further Community Shares mission by: 1. Maintaining an effective and engaging website for Community Shares 2. Researching, evaluating, customizing and assisting in implementing innovative ways to use website communications to build on-line community and campaign fundraising. RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Towards the end of maintaining an effective and engaging website: a. Edit current content, add new content, links, and images in a timely manner. b. Ensure ease of navigation for website visitors. c. Maintain brand consistency and work within established constraints of organization’s promotional policies and practices. 2. Towards the end of building on-line community, promotion and fundraising: a. Stay informed about best practices in these areas and make recommendations on customizing these practices to Community Shares. b. Stay informed of member organization programs in order to develop ideas and content for adapting these practices to Community Shares. c. Implement or assist in implementing customized on-line actions and build capacity of current staff to ensure their sustainability over the long-term. 3. Maintain confidentiality of all sensitive information related to CS and its organizations. TIME COMMITMENT: 1. Year-round, flexible schedule, during business hours. Initially averaging 4 hours per week, then 2 to 4 hours per week. 2. Occasional face-to-face meetings with Executive Director and/or other board & staff members. |

| Qualifications & Skills: | 1. Previous experience editing and maintaining websites and expertise and or ability to integrate on-line communications with organization activities. 2. Ability to complete tasks independently with minimal supervision. 3. Proficiency with integrating technical and aesthetic aspects of website content and function. 4. Strong attention to detail. 5. Good written and verbal communication skills. 6. Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills. 7. Committed to and supportive of the mission of Community Shares and its member organizations. 8. Previous experience using Dreamweaver software required; Photoshop and online database experience a plus. |
